5th Grade Concert at the Norris Theater—- December 11, 2017
Fifth grade students and teachers will have the opportunity to experience a woodwind quintet. That includes a flute, an oboe, a clarinet, a bassoon and a French horn. They might also have a bass flute,a Piccolo, an E flat clarinet,and an English horn.
This quintet has been performing together for 20 years and also perform individually with the Los Angeles Philharmonic,at the Hollywood bowl ,and the Pantages theater.
They will perform music by American born or educated composers. This includes Scott Joplin,Aaron Copeland,and John Philip Sousa. You might also recognize music from the movies and television vision programs you watch.
Please remind students that this is a “total concert experience“. Applause is the correct way to show appreciation. Being polite and respectful of the docents is expected behavior. Please review theater standards with your students.
Please wait on the bus until a docent greats you. Docents will also help you get back onto the correct bus.
