I know we're reading Winn-Dixie right now but I wanted to just do something fun and different and you haven't that I'm going to read a My Weird School Laney is zany right here we go this Laney is zany inspect chapter one bad news my name is AJ and I hate school Sunday but I have to go anyway my friend Billy just around the corner told me that if you don't go to school they throw you in jail then you have to wear one of those striped uniforms and dragged a ball around a ball and chain I go to elementary school and my teacher is mr. granite other planet with Monday morning and the girls were talking about silly girl stuff like how many stuffed animals they had on their bed me and the guys were talking about important guys like my favorite show win money it's a cool show you have to answer a bunch of questions if you get them right you win money if you get the wrong you have to eat bugs so when money or eat bugs has the perfect name some people win money but most people have to eat facts that show is hilarious actually put our backpacks in your Cubbies the school secretary mrs. Patty made an announcement over the loudspeaker we had to go to the all-purpose room for surprise assembly assembly as Andrea young annoying girl in my class with curly brown hair beats me said her crybaby friend Emily everybody was in the all-purpose room mist Zara the custodian Miss LaGrange the lunch lady even mr. Tony was the after-school program was there I could tell it wasn't a normal assembly we are all buzzing about what was that we had to sit Criss-Cross Apple finally our principal mr. Klutz got up on the stage he has no hair at all I mean none they said you just had to bounce laser beams around the world Mr Krabs house of his hand in made of I have bad news mister mister cluts I was for my friend Michael who never ties his shoes as you probably heard from you I told us the economy's bad State we have been trying to save money ever since our budget with pats the last night I got a call from the Board of Education I'm sorry to tell you this but elementary school will be closing in June everybody laughed this request is so it's not a joke he hadn't suddenly it was all quiet in the all-purpose room you could hear a pin drop that is if someone dropped pin around with him anyways that would be a weird thing to do really likes to Stow stuff I guess the school will close for a few weeks as mr. granite mr. clucks replied the school is closing forever ever looks at Michael Michael looks at Ryan we call the new kid even though he wears clothes receipts at the same time you started no more school still has to go to school mr. Klutz told us she'll just have to go to another school that's further away summer will the teachers be fired as mr. Granite I'm afraid so sad Mister class the whole staff lose their job and then includes mean we're in the same boat I love so I don't see a boat anywhere that means that we're all in this together Arlo with pretty Andrea she called me by my real name because you know they don't like it will there be more budget cuts between now and June Mr Clare said well yeah I'll have to tighten our belts does anybody have any questions what if you don't wear a belt tightening our belts means we have to say many Andrea whispered rolling her eyes your face needs to save money send Andrea there anything we could do last mr. Granite I'm afraid not mr. Said it will cost $2000000 to keep the school open wow everybody said which is Mom upside down we all started buzzing again the teachers looks worried I see you first grader started crying it was the saddest day in the history of the world okay I haven't read this yeah but it feels kind of like what we're going through now except our school closed forever but it is so sad is chapter 2 victory of the girls bathroom girls were tearing out Instagram and Steph hey hey what are you doing mr. Granite said it had to be about math how many dollars is a million I asked well let's say you have $1 just a Gran told me and then you go million more dollars then you'd have a million dollars that made sense dollars Andre had a big smile on her face like she was all proud of herself Dollar on her head a million dollars and coins we were all sad about the school closing down mr. Granite wasn't in the mood to tease and nobody was in the mood to learn anything not Andrea luckily on Mondays we watch a million Miss Hannah the art teacher was cutting a piece of cardboard into a bunch of tiny little squares what are we doing in our family budget cuts only has one sheet hardwood for the whole class at Miss Hannah So today we're going to make postage stamp postage stamps we all ask we all have to do our part to save money she said hello and there wasn't room to draw anything out making postage stamps art class Lane announcement on the loudspeaker AJ please report to the girls bathroom I thought it was hilarious they were falling off their chairs it must be some mistake mr. granite who do the girls bathroom of course they will be Ryan's please reports girls bathroom what I'm not going to Ryan didn't have the chance to finish his sentence because this is Patty made another announcement Andrea please report to the girls bathroom I'm done announcement please reports the girls bathroom for you to go to the girls bathroom mr. Granite told us he gave me Ryan d'andrea passes and we walk down the hall to the girls bathroom do you open the door I told Andrea and her a girl Andrea put her hand on the doorknob door knob Andrea turn the door knob and she pulled open the door and you will never believe in a million hundred here's what we saw on there I'm not going to tell you okay okay I'll tell you but you have to read the next chapter first Sono Miss Laney is weird chapter 3 business Lending in the middle of the girls bathroom was a lady with dark hair she was sitting behind a Crystal Granite stack the lady said excitedly she sounded like one of those game hosts on TV who are you asking Andrea I miss playing you the new speech teacher the lady said I'm so you can join me today Miss Laney is way too enthusiastic about that has wondered what was in the girls bathroom and looked around there were three songs against the wall but no urinals on the walls where posters of pictures of TV stars girls bathrooms are weird use your office in the bathroom as Emily because of budget cuts they couldn't afford to give me a regular office this morning. was perfect for speech class this room has really good acoustic I don't see any good cuestix I said my uncle has a pool table in his basement and he's gotten some really good knots used X injury send rolling her eyes acoustic start a lot like a cue stick to me do you know what the word xq6 means miscellaneous is the science of sound very good and he said all smiling Little Miss Brown knows or knows about dumb stuff like a two sticks because she read the encyclopedia for the fun of it was her problem wait a minute Emily said this is the speech room now where should we go to the bathroom I said Minecraft that starting today Miss Laney told us the girls put the bathroom in the boys bathroom it's the girls go to the bathroom in the boys bathroom where we'll go to the bathroom Ryan asked me said I looked out the window there was a tree outside we stopped to use a tree I asked there's a porta-potty near the tree I sit on my tippy toes in the window and saw the porta potty I'd rather use the tree I said the tree s Ryan kill the tree Arlo Andrea said your face could kill a tree I told Andrea take this lady Emily said we don't need speech class yeah I said we already know how to talk of course you know how to talk Miss Laney said that Mr Grant told me you're having a little trouble understanding the idioms AJ idiot in Ryan sometimes you have difficulty with rounds instead and Emily you have trouble pronouncing the letters in D and Andrea you acacia Pebble with creamer little miss perfect with John that I guess nobody ever told her she had anything wrong with her before he just boring I said yeah we don't want to be here said Ryan I speak perfectly insisted that so let's find out that is when the weirdest thing in the history of the world happened Miss lynnie took a top hat out of her desk drawer and put it on her head side of the desk and pushed a button on it something music came out of the Boombox this lady started to dance around in the lights in the bathroom started flashing on and off next Banner drop down from one of the South's I said I bet you can't say this then a deep voice came out of the Boombox welcome to everyone's favorite TV game show I bet you can't stay that here's your lady wild Applause came out of the Boombox are you kids ready to play I bet you can't say this study Andrea and Emily and Ryan I love you show that Emily will start the first important do you have trouble saying the letter F when you say the word lion does it came out like wine do you stutter Or List don't feel bad millions of kids just like you have the same problem but your luck with the help of Miss Laney's amazing zany brainy no Fixer-Upper you'll be able to say the hard words February words like refrigerator nuclear and duct tape you'll be able to say every word in the English language in a few short weeks still be talking perfectly if it's not available in stores go to w W.
