hi everyone happy Earth Day is Miss rush and I'm here to lead us through some mindfulness today that's connected to the beautiful Earth around so the first thing I want to do is start in are mindful bodies you can sit Criss-Cross or you can be sitting anywhere really and we want to have a nice tall back but let's move her shoulders up down and back to relax can you can close your eyes or just look at the ground in front of you and together we're going to take in three big deep breaths so here's the first one they be president and out second one and out and our last big breath and out all right so you may have noticed some different sounds around me course when we're out in nature we can always hear birds or the winds or lots of others down and today we're going to start by thinking about how we can be mindful about the Earth and how we can help protect the Earth so there is a few things we can do and I'm sure that you can think of some too and these are things like picking up trash when we see it on the ground about turning off the water when we're brushing our teeth may be turning off the lights when we're leaving a room can you think of any other ways that we can be mindful about the Earth how can we help protect the Earth by being mindful you can pause a video and think of some ideas where I can just think of some to yourself alright so the next thing that we're going to do is think about our favorite place on Earth maybe you have a favorite place out in nature. In Palos Verdes or maybe it could be a place that you've traveled to before what we're going to do is get into our mind full bodies again really help if you close your eyes because we're able to picture our favorite Play Summer so we'll go ahead and close our eyes we can take a big deep breath and and I'll you can just say I noticing any sounds around you maybe feeling your body on the Earth Cher blow you I want you to think about a place on Earth that you really love that's outside and nature and I'm think about this place think about what it looks like notice what you can see maybe notice what the weather is like notice what sounds you would hear in this place and notice how this place makes you feel you can even picture people that would be with you in this place too are animals that would be with you just noticed how Imagining the special place makes you feel defrost in and let it go do your fingers and your toes and blink open your eyes alright how did that feel so you can pause a video and share with your your class or your family what's play you picture it in your mind for me I was picturing the beach and sitting on the feet and having my toes in the sand and hearing the waves crashing in that's a really special place to me and I think about being mindful of the earth we also can think about how grateful we are to live in such a beautiful place and there's so much of the earth that is left to explore for us there so much to see and I think about how to be mindful about the way we treat the Earth then it will give us more opportunities to see and explore the world around us so I hope you enjoy this practice you can do it anytime you can always picture a special place and noticed how it makes you feel I hope you all have a wonderful Earth day and I will see you at school thanks so much
